Diving experience






The Tiburon Explorer - which was newly built in 2020 - offers unparalleled diving experiences in one of the most impressive areas in the world - the Galapagos Islands.
The ship's route includes the remote islands of Darwin Island, Wolf Island and Cousin's Rock.
The unique biodiversity and the incredible wealth of animals both above and below the water make the exotic and extensive Galapagos region a very special destination.
The ship offers space for 16 guests in 9 large, air-conditioned cabins on the main and lower decks, each with a sea view.
The yacht also has a partially covered sun deck with whirlpool and ample seating, a saloon area with
dining, bar & entertainment area. WIFI with satellite internet connection is also available on board.
CABINS
- 9 cabins with space for a total of 16 guests
Main deck: 6 cabins - including 4 cabins with single beds (can be combined into a queen-size bed), 2 cabins with queen beds
Lower deck: 3 cabins - with single beds (can be combined into a queen-size bed), 2 cabins with single bedsEach cabin has its own bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a closet.
The cabins on the main deck have even larger windows than those on the lower deck and therefore offer a breathtaking sea view.
The cabins on the lower deck also have a small lounge area with a sofa.
EQUIPMENT
- Salon & Lounge
The air-conditioned salon is located on the main deck of the ship and is equipped with an entertainment system.
The lounge area offers plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. - Sun deck
The ship has a partially covered sun deck with a whirlpool, which provides additional relaxation between and after dives.
CULINARY
- Eggs, pancakes, toast and fresh fruit are served for breakfast.
Lunch & dinner are served buffet style and usually consist of salad, potato, rice, chicken, beef, pork and fish.
Between dives, guests can enjoy homemade snacks. - Drinks are also included in the meals.

Galapagos is considered the number one diving destination in the world and should therefore be on every diver's diving safari list.
Divers can therefore enjoy the fascinating wildlife of the Galapagos Islands twice over. Sea lions, penguins, turtles, iguanas, countless bird species, plus huge schools of fish, sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks in the months of September to December.
- Dive deck
The large dive deck includes a bathroom, a large camera table with charging station, individual storage areas, rinsing tanks for cameras and another for equipment. - Dives
Up to 4 dives per day are offered on the Humboldt Explorer (depending on weather & route) and must comply with the rules of the Galapagos National Park. The maximum diving depth is 30 meters.
- Nitrox
Nitrox is available to divers with the appropriate certification for an additional charge. - Pangas
The dives are carried out from two large pangas (dinghies) that can be easily boarded from the dive deck.

Enclosed you will find the routing description for a classic tour:
Day 1: Baltra
Arrival followed by transfer to Humboldt Explorer & lunch
Safety briefing & preparation of equipment
Dinner
Day 2: Baltra North & North Seymour
Equipment check & 2 dives
Afternoon shore visit to North Seymour with observation of blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, sea lions and marine iguanas
Onward journey to Darwin & Wolf
Day 3: Wolf Island
4 dives with the option of a night dive instead of the 4th dive during the day
Sightings of hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks
Overnight stay at Wolf Island
Day 4: Wolf & Darwin Island
2 dives at Wolf Island
2 dives at Darwin Island
Day 5: Darwin Island
4 dives
Sightings of hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks
Onward journey to Wolf Island
Day 6: Wolf Island
3 dives
Crossing to Cousin's Rock
7. Day: Cousin's Rock & Santa Cruz
1-2 dives (depending on the crossing time from Wolf Island)

lunch during the trip to Santa Cruz (~ 3 hours)
excursion to Santa Cruz Highlands, to visit the giant tortoises in their natural habitat
Visit to the town of Puerto Ayora & Darwin Center (on your own)
Dinner in Puerto Ayora (on your own)
Return to the Humboldt Explorer at 20:30 pm (option to stay on Santa Cruz instead of returning to the boat)
Day 8: Baltra
09:00 Transfer to Baltra airport for the return flights to Quito or Guayaquil
