The current starts around Port Elizabeth and East London before reaching the Wild Coast and then the East Coast. The area between East London and Port St. Johns is known as the "hottest spot" on this migration route and has emerged as the best spot with the most action in recent years. In this area you can encounter dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, Cape gannets, gray whales, humpback whales, dusky sharks, copper sharks, bull sharks, blacktip sharks, ragged-tooth sharks, fur seals and, on rare occasions, sailfish. Our aim is to find the "baitballs", the schools of sardines. On days with only a few small baitballs, we dive with dolphins, humpback whales and sharks. This makes it the ultimate ocean safari. The course is not always 100% predictable, as the weather and nature cannot be planned either - but with a bit of luck, the rewards above and below the water are incomparable.
