ACTIVITIES

To make sure guests have an unforgettable cultural experience alongside their dives, the resort offers various land excursions, such as trips to:

    • Tangkoko National Park
which is home to the world's smallest nocturnal primate, the Tarsius Tarsier (also known as the spectral tarsier), endemic to Sulawesi. This tiny, adorable creature measures only about 15cm from head to tail.
With a bit of luck, you might also spot black macaques, cuscus, and the great hornbill.

    • Minahasa Highland Tour – while exploring wonderful places like:
      • “Sawangan” – An ancient cemetery with beautifully decorated tombs called “Waruga,” each telling its own story.
      • “Woloan” – The village where you can watch traditional small houses, called “Minahasan,” being built.
      • “Tomohon” – A place where you'll find the traditional food and flower market.
      • “Rurukan” – The high hill with views stretching all the way to the Lembeh Strait.
      • “Lake Tondano” – A beautiful lake located 600m above sea level, where the mountain air is wonderfully cool.
      • “Lake Linau” – Also known as the three-colored lake because of the volcanic gases along its shores.

Lembeh was the first true muck diving destination, and the Lembeh Strait is still considered one of the best and most famous macro diving areas in the world.
Its rather sandy, dark underwater landscape hides an incredible abundance of the most extraordinary creatures that are hard to find anywhere else.

Known for its “critters” – tiny, often quirky creatures like frogfish, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, octopuses – including the famous mimic and blue-ringed octopus – mandarin fish, orangutan crabs, mantis shrimp, and many other different types of snails and shrimp. This bizarre biodiversity makes the area one of the best spots for underwater photography and macro diving worldwide.

Even though the region is mainly known for its “muck diving” on black volcanic slopes, it also offers some wonderful coral dive sites – including the resort's house reef, which is also the largest coral reef in the Lembeh Strait.

Other great coral dive sites like “Angels Window” and “California Dreaming” are just a short boat ride from the resort.

Visibility in Lembeh might not always be the best, but that doesn't spoil the experience at all. The real thrill is in tracking down those tiny, perfectly camouflaged creatures.

Even experienced divers are often amazed by the variety of quirky creatures you can discover here.
Every dive truly becomes a treasure hunt!

To sum it up: Lembeh is an underwater world full of surprises and perfect for divers who love discovering the smallest and most bizarre marine life – a true macro dream!

DIVE CENTER

Every day, three dives are scheduled using the twin-engine fiberglass dive boats, which comfortably take divers to a selection of over 60 dive sites.
After each dive, the boats return to the resort so you can relax by the swimming pool during your surface interval, or get your camera ready for the next dive.

Plus, a night dive is offered daily, as long as at least two people want to join.

If you book a dive package (minimum 3 nights with 2 dive days), the resort offers free access to the two world-famous house reef dive sites, “Hairball” and “Aw Shucks.”

Passionate underwater photographers will find the largest camera room in Lembeh at the fully equipped Dive Center, where you can perfectly store and prepare your gear.

There's also a locker room for guests' dive equipment with rinse tanks for your gear and showers for after your dive. The guides are trained in handling cameras and specialize in Lembeh's unique underwater conditions.

North Sulawesi's international airport, Manado Airport, serves as the “gateway” to this region and is about a 90-minute drive from Dive Into Lembeh Resort.

You can reach Manado with direct flights from Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Makassar, or Sorong.

Flights from places like Europe, for example, land early enough in Singapore to catch the connecting flight with Silk Air to Manado.
Plus, Garuda and Batik Airlines offer several daily direct flights via Jakarta to Manado as another reliable option.

We'd be happy to send you a personalized flight offer to Sulawesi upon request, which will take you directly to Dive Into Lembeh Resort.
