Refurbished in 2017, the Nautilus UnderSea is a former research vessel that first entered service in 1968 and is the latest addition to the Nautilus Liveaboard fleet.

The robust and safe boat takes its divers to the most unforgettable diving experiences in the diving areas around Socorro.
It is one of the most famous diving boats in the world, not only because it was seen in the famous James Bond film "License to Kill".

The 32-meter-long liveaboard Nautilus UnderSea offers space for 19 divers in 9 cabins.

CABINS

    Sun deck: 1 premium suite
    with two beds that can be combined into a king-size bed
    Main deck: 1 cabin with 2 bunk beds
    Lower deck: 6 cabins with bunk beds
    Diving deck: 1 barrier-free cabin with 2 single beds is located adjacent to the diving deck

    All cabins are equipped with their own bathroom including shower/WC and individually adjustable air conditioning. They offer plenty of space to store personal belongings. The Premium Suite on the sun deck also has a flat screen, even more storage space and almost direct access to the whirlpool.

    In addition to the dining area, the ship has a cozy lounge with entertainment program on the main deck, which offers plenty of space to relax between dives.
  • Sun deck
    In addition to all the amenities, the ship also boasts a whirlpool on the sun deck.
    This makes it even easier to relax and unwind.

  • The kitchen crew spoil their guests with freshly prepared international and national delicacies. Furthermore, a large selection of international drinks awaits guests at the bar.

A trip on the Nautilus UnderSea around Socorro is all about the world-famous giant manta rays in this region with a wingspan of up to 7 meters.

It is not only the unparalleled number of manta rays that is remarkable, but also the amazing trust that these majestic animals place in the divers. The interaction between animals and humans is one of the things that makes a Socorro trip a magical experience.

In addition to encounters with giant manta rays, over 10 different species of shark can also be found here, as well as dolphins, whale sharks and even sightings of breathtaking humpback whales.

  • Dive deck
    The huge dive deck is located at water level - making it very easy to get in and out of the dinghies - and offers enough space for all 19 divers and their equipment.
  • Equipment
    Fresh water basins for equipment and gear as well as charging stations for cameras are available directly on the dive deck.
  • Nitrox
    Nitrox is available on request.

  • Socorro

    Around 400 km from Cabo San Lucas is the Revillagigedo archipelago, which is probably better known to nature lovers as the
    "Socorro Islands". These consist of the islands of Socorro Island, San Benedicto, Clarion and the world-famous rock
    Roca Partida.

    The crossing from Cabo San Lucas to Socorro takes around 24 hours. The 8th islands are served from Cabo San Lucas in Baja California in Mexico. The 8- to 9-night tours take place in November and from January to April.

Socorro - Giant Mantas

Day
1
Meeting point at the Cabo San Lucas diving center. The Nautilus UnderSea is ready for boarding from 20:00. Until boarding, additional local dives such as Gordo Banks, Cabo Pulmo or to the whale sharks of La Paz can be carried out if you are interested.


Day 2
Today is all about "traveling and relaxing at sea", as the trip takes about 24 hours - entertainment is provided.
The ship briefing takes place in the morning, followed by a safety exercise and then enough time to assemble the equipment and relax until you arrive in San Bendicto in the evening.

Day 3 - 7
Over the next 5 days, the most famous dive sites in the region such as El Canyon, Boiler, Red Rocks, Roca Partida, Cabo Pearse, Punta Tosca and Roca Oneal will be dived. Kayaking, stand-up paddling and humpback whale watching are also possible.

Day 8
The return journey to Cabo San Lucas starts early in the morning. You can use this time together again to review the experiences and impressions of the last few days.

Day 9
De-boarding from the ship and transfer to the airport begins at 08:30.
