Marsa Shagra Village offers an attractive blend of modern luxury and natural simplicity, combining the best of both worlds.
The special atmosphere of the Village is due to the guests of different nationalities, whose shared appreciation & enthusiasm for this place creates friendships.
Marsa Shagra is home to one of the most beautiful and best-preserved house reefs in the area thanks to many years of commitment to environmental protection.
Divers can dive without restriction on the house reef and can reach Elphinstone Reef after a short speedboat ride.
The village, which was founded as a diving camp, is the ideal starting point for divers to explore the Red Sea.
TENTS, HUTS & CHALETS
Marsa Shagra Village offers 5 different accommodation options. From traditional fabric beach tents to deluxe chalets and superior deluxe chalets, you can enjoy the authentic Marsa Shagra experience regardless of your accommodation.
All accommodation has a sea view and a view of the seemingly endless desert with its vast mountains in the background.
- Tent
The tents are truly the hallmark of the Village and offer an exciting experience that reflects the history of the concept. Located directly on the beach, they offer handcrafted furniture, lighting, power outlets and a cozy seating area just a few meters from the beach.
The tents are equipped with two single beds and share a communal bathroom. Shower towels can be borrowed free of charge from reception, while beach towels are available for a fee.
- Royal tent
The Royal Tent is an extremely popular accommodation option and an important part of the concept to minimize environmental impact. The interior of the tent is spacious and is equipped with a minibar, fan, comfortable beanbags and a table and offers a cozy seating area just a few meters from the beach.
The Royal tents are equipped with either a double bed or two single beds and share a communal bathroom. Shower towels can be borrowed free of charge from reception, while beach towels can be rented on site for a fee.
- Cabin
The cabins offer simple, cozy accommodation with an unrestricted view of the sea. Each hut measures 3.5 x 3.5 meters and is equipped with two single beds, bedside table with lamp, closet and fan. There is also a shared bathroom for the huts.
Shower towels are available free of charge at reception. Beach towels are available on site for a fee. The huts are located on the beach and offer a quiet atmosphere away from the coast. - Deluxe Chalet
The chalets offer the highest standard of rooms with views of the spectacular mountains on one side and the Red Sea on the other. Each room has a terrace with breathtaking views and an unobstructed sea view. The chalets are spacious and equipped with a double bed or twin beds, closet, side & dressing table, air conditioning, digital safe, minibar and a kettle with coffee & tea.
They have their own bathroom with towels for showering and for the beach.
- Premium Deluxe Chalet
There are two Premium Deluxe Chalets in Marsa Shagra Village, which, like the Deluxe Chalets, offer spectacular views of the mountains on one side and the Red Sea on the other.
They are also equipped with a larger and more comfortable terrace and seating area as well as a higher standard of furnishings and design. They are also close to reception, the restaurant and the village center, so that all facilities can be reached quickly and easily.
- Superior Deluxe Chalet - NEW
The newest and finest room category are the Superior Deluxe Chalets, which are in a prime location. They have a large, private terrace with a direct view of the entrance to the house reef and are located close to the village center and only a few steps away from the dive center, reception, cafeteria, beach and restaurant.
Two Superior Deluxe Chalets are connected to each other, making them ideal for families. The chalets are spacious and have large windows to maximize the breathtaking views. They are also furnished with high quality interiors, a large closet, side & dressing table, air conditioning, safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a 50-inch LED TV. Furthermore, the chalets have an en-suite bathroom and towels are provided for showering and the beach.
EQUIPMENT
- Restaurant & Bar
Meals are served in the legendary buffet restaurant on a soft all-inclusive basis and offer a wide selection of dishes to suit all tastes. There is also the additional option of à la carte. The perfect start to the day begins with breakfast overlooking the house reef. - Pizza oven
Don't miss the opportunity to try the homemade authentic Italian pizza from our own pizza oven. The pizzas are made to order from fresh ingredients. The chefs have been specially trained to conjure up an unmistakable Italian taste experience.
- Bawadi Bedouin Lounge
The Village's cozy Bedouin Lounge is located directly on the beach, where you can enjoy traditional drinks, wine, local beer and a shisha. Enjoy a relaxed, quiet evening with a view of the Red Sea.
- Cafeteria
In addition to the included refreshments such as water, Nescafé & tea, the cafeteria also offers a selection of other refreshments & snacks such as cappuccino & espresso, soft drinks, beer, chocolate & potato chips, ice cream and souvenirs.
In order to be as environmentally friendly as possible, guests are given a water bottle that can be refilled free of charge at any dispenser in the Village.
- Waffly
Delicious, freshly prepared Italian ice cream in a variety of flavors and homemade warm waffles await as a reward after exciting dives in the Waffly.
All areas of Marsa Shagra Village are accessible for wheelchair users.
ACTIVITIES
- Massages
The Village has its own massage tent where you can treat yourself to a variety of massages from professionally trained masseurs with a view of the Red Sea.
- Desert tours

DIVING
Marsa Alam is known for its spectacular underwater world and offers divers the opportunity to discover an abundance of marine life, including colorful corals, rays, sharks, sea turtles and countless colorful reef fish.
The non-limit diving concept allows divers unique freedom and flexibility in diving and is a major attraction of the Village. The regular diving program also offers more than 20 nearby dive sites, including the world-renowned Elphinstone Reef and Marsa Abu Dabbab, from which divers can create their own diving adventure and encounter the highlights of local marine life.
Our PADI dive center offers all the necessary PADI courses for those who do not yet have a diving license or would like to deepen their diving training.
Marsa Shagra is the only dive center in the southern Red Sea that can offer the safety of an on-site pressure chamber.
ECO-DIVING PROGRAM
Red Sea Diving Safari is actively committed to the protection and conservation of the Red Sea's natural resources and is constantly looking for new ways to reduce human impact on the environment and promote the sustainability of the region.
It works closely with non-profit organizations, universities, scientists and other groups to raise awareness of the importance of the Red Sea as an ecosystem.
If they wish, guests can be involved in various activities such as clean-up operations on land and underwater and the collection of data for international research projects.
SNORKELING
Not only divers, but also snorkelers and apnoea divers of all levels get their money's worth in the Red Sea and can enjoy the beauty of the house reef and the surrounding reefs.
Special snorkeling trips are offered, where you can even spot dolphins and manatees.
The centrally located village is just a 30-minute drive from Marsa Alam Airport and a 3-hour drive from Hurghada Airport and is 20 kilometers north of the city of Marsa Alam.
