The island of Bonaire is located north of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean and, along with Aruba and Curacao, is one of the so-called ABC islands of the Lesser Antilles.
Bonaire is known as one of the best diving destinations in the Caribbean, for which it is repeatedly recognized.
The underwater world fascinates with impressive coral reefs that start at a depth of just 5 meters and is also appreciated for long-forgotten shipwrecks and a variety of almost 500 different fish species.
The island's dive sites are protected from currents due to their location and are therefore an unforgettable experience for both beginners and advanced divers.
A perfect year-round destination...
On Bonaire, you can dive both from land and from a boat. For the dive sites in the Bonaire National Marine Park further out to sea, a few boat dives should definitely be on the program.
Although Bonaire is the perfect year-round destination, the months from April to November are among the most suitable. These months are the dry season, there are the most hours of sunshine and it almost never rains.
The sea conditions remain stable throughout the season and you can look forward to water temperatures of around 29° Celsius and air temperatures of up to 31° Celsius.
At this time of year, you can perfectly combine your dives with a few relaxing hours on one of the 22 pearly white sandy beaches or exploring the island.
Due to its location outside the hurricane zone, Bonaire is less at risk than other Caribbean islands.
The east side, as well as the north and the southern tip of the island, are not suitable for diving due to the waves and shoreline conditions. Like the rest of tourism, diving tends to take place on the west coast. There are 60 dive sites along the coastal road alone, most of which are signposted and marked with yellow stones. Other dive sites with some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world can be found around the offshore island of "Klein Bonaire".
...both on water and on land
The Washington-Slagbaai National Park on the northern tip is an interesting excursion ashore. With over 130 exotic bird species, its extensive cactus forests, reptiles and flamingo colonies, it covers 20% of the entire island.
Salt has been mined in the flat south for over 500 years. Flamingos can also be observed time and again in the salt lakes there. The north of the island is exposed to strong trade winds and therefore waves, making it ideal for an excursion to marvel at this natural spectacle.
In culinary terms, you should definitely try the large conch shells - considered a special delicacy - at one of the beach snack bars. Mountains of shell remains of these sea snails at Lac Bay in the southeast show the eating habits of the local weekenders.
WANNADIVE BONAIRE DIVING CENTER
The fully equipped in-house diving center WannaDive, which is part of the Eden Beach Resort and Grand Windsock Resort, with its multilingual crew, offers guests of both resorts a wide variety of diving activities at the most diverse dive sites on all sides of the island of Bonaire, which is known as a diving paradise.
From half-day introductory courses for beginners, dives for experienced divers up to and including technical diving, boat dives and training courses, there is something for all levels.

Standard double room
This room category, specially created for active vacationers, offers comfortable and affordable accommodation. The centrally air-conditioned rooms have an area of 26m², are equipped with either a king-size or 2 single beds and are located on the first and second floor.
Studio
The comfortable, spacious 40m² studios also offer a fully equipped kitchen. There are studios with terrace located at the entrance of the resort overlooking the parking lot and the reception of our WannaDive dive center, as well as studios with terrace near the pool and beach, which are slightly more expensive due to the location and/or view.
King Studio
The 45m² King Studios are located on the 2nd floor and have a fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom and a spacious balcony with sea views to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sunsets.
2-bedroom apartment
The 80m² large, comfortable and spacious apartments on two levels offer an air-conditioned living room with dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a separate guest toilet on the first floor. On the second floor there are two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with two single beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and air conditioning. Depending on the location, the apartments have a beautiful terrace opposite the dive center, near the pool or the beach to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sunsets.

Apartments
The apartments are spread over several three-storey buildings, are extremely spacious with their size of approx. 130m² and have an outdoor living area in addition to the indoor living room. Apartments on the first floor have a terrace facing the pool and a veranda. Those on the second floor look out over the sea and from the penthouses on the top floor you have a wonderful view of the Caribbean Sea.
Villas
The private and spacious villas of up to 150m² are surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and offer plenty of privacy. They impress with their modern look and luxurious interior. The villas have several bathrooms, large outdoor terraces and a private parking space. Some of the villas even have a private swimming pool.
